Pain Management Physician Opportunity – Community Hospital Setting

Location: Coupeville, WA - Seattle 55m | Full-Time, permanent position | Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Position Overview
The Pain Management Physician will diagnose and treat patients with acute, subacute, and chronic pain, developing individualized, multidisciplinary treatment plans to improve function and quality of life. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with physical therapists, psychologists, surgeons, and other specialists in a supportive community-based healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop personalized, evidence-based pain management treatment plans
  • Perform interventional pain procedures, including:

    • Epidural steroid injections
    • Nerve blocks
    • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
    • Spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implantation
  • Prescribe and manage medications responsibly, prioritizing safe opioid practices

  • Coordinate care with physical therapy, behavioral health, and other specialties

  • Educate patients and families on pain management techniques and lifestyle modifications

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pain Management
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine or related specialty
  • Active Washington State medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Unrestricted DEA license
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $400,000 – $450,000
